RUFC - Breckin on Porterfield
Rotherham United Assistant Manager, John Breckin, has talked to The Star about Ian Porterfield, who died last night aged sixty-one.
'He put together an excellent side when he was manager here,' Breckin said. 'It was the best side I ever played in. Many people regard it as the best ever Rotherham United team. He was a brilliant coach.
'It is a sad loss and the people who recall his time here will be saddened by his death.'
