'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Hursty

Rotherham United veteran, Paul Hurst, has told MillersWorld that he is at the latter stage rather than the beginning of his career and that he is looking at getting another 'string to his bow'.

Paul, who has been with the Millers since the 1993/94 season, has been doing a Professional Sportswriting and Broadcasting Course at Stafford University and has had placements with both Radio Sheffield and RotherFM.

He said the lads were a bit down after their first defeat of the season, last week to Darlington, 'you hope to keep an unbeaten run in the league going as long as you can,' he said, 'and everyone is a bit low. There are one or two things we need to work on but there is no need to press the panic button yet.

'As a new team we seemed to have gelled quite quickly although you are still learning things all the time.

'Our squad isn't that big and it's going to be a long season. I think the young lads will have to be ready to come and make some impact in the team at some stage.

'I think if we can keep most of the squad fit then we will have a successful season.'
