'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins Post Wrexham

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, was obviously pleased after the away win at Wrexham this afternoon. He spoke to Radio Sheffield after the game.

'It was a massive win today after we'd slipped off pace a bit over the last few weeks. All victories are crucial and we took a big step today. It was a tough game.

'I think we made hard work off it, though there were spells when I thought we played ever so well. I thought we probed quite well and passed the ball well, which we've been working on this week. I couldn't see them scoring, unless we gave them a goal.

'Ours was an excellent goal, O'Grady struck the ball well. Toddy had put in one or two decent passes today and it was probably the most productive game he's played for us, but he's still learning.

'Starting with Bruce (Dyer)today might have given one or two people a kick up the backside. Bruce has a lot of experience and he got in well today and helped out. I also thought Newsham and O'Grady did well when they got on. Brogan is full of enthusiasm, although he can be a bit naive and leave things a bit exposed at the back at times but he will learn and he did alright today.

We've had a difficult start to the season and last weeks defeat made some people re-think their game.'
