'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins on Dyer

Rotherham United's latest loan signing, Bruce Dyer, sparkled, according to The Star, in his first game last Saturday at Wrexham.

Manager, Mark Robins, was full of praise for the striker,'He's wily, he held the ball up and used his body to get stuck in,' he said, 'he created one or two openings for us without being dynamic.

'He's great around the edge of the box, he helps out and his twisting and turning brings other people into play.

'I thought he did really well.'

Thirty-two year old Dyer has previously played for Sheffield United, Stoke, Watford, Barnsley and Crystal Palace having loan periods with Millwall and Bradford.

I thought he played well at Wrexham, to say he had just literally, met the other players.

Dyer is a good player and has gotten better with age...He is just a little too selfish but if you want some pace and someone to hold the ball up you could do a lot worse!

Had a lot of good things said about him. I was a bit sceptical at first as I thought he was a bit on the old side but apparently he did well on Saturday
