RUFC - Club Apologises

Rotherham United have today, via the Official Site, made an apology.

An error was made by the announcer before the minutes applause to commemorate Ian Porterfield, on Saturday.

The club is deeply sorry for any upset this may have caused supporters and say it was down to human error and not incompetence or lack of respect for the former Millers manager.

There is going to be a tribute programme dedicated to Ian Porterfield and will be out on 6th October (Mansfield game at home).

No, the tannoy is muffled where we sit as well and, although I knew he hadn't said Porterfield, it wasn't until the next day I found out who he had said. I hope the club have aplolgised to him as well
