'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins Post Mansfield

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins
has told Millersworld that he was pleased with the teams performance today even though they were three up and let it slip to three-two.

'In the terms of possession, the way we played and the chances we created I was pleased. Yes, we should have won more comfortably and it was disappointing to concede the late goals,' Robins said, 'but I'm not going to dwell on that.

'We put ourselves under a bit of pressure but they also worked their socks off out there today. We have a group of players who have plenty of ability and we showed that when we started to pass the ball a bit better.

'Mansfield were always going to be a threat with the pace they've got and players like Michael Boulding but we'd spoken about creating more space for ourselves and we made them change their shape.

'In the end I was grateful to get three points. We dropped deeper and deeper and that is something we have to work on.

'There's no easy games in this league and three points is three points.'

I thought we fought for the ball more than I've seen recently and I thought some of our crosses were first class
