Rotherham United's midfield player, Stephen Brogan, scored his first goal for the senior side on Saturday in the 3-2 win over Mansfield Town and said it was 'great!`
'It was only a little header from two yards out but the feeling`s just the same!` the nineteen year old told MillersWorld today. 'I`ve had plenty of chances to score and it`s been bugging me to be honest so it was nice to get it.
'As a midfielder part of my game is to get forward and score goals. It`s just not quite been happening. Finishing has been a problem for me but now I`ve got one I hope more will follow.`
He was asked about the game on Saturday and said, 'When we went three up I thought we were cruising and were playing really well. Then they put something like five up front which put us under a lot of pressure and caused a lot of problems. In the end they could easily have got a draw.
'When I woke up on Sunday I had a bit of a swelling on my knee from a kick but I`ve trained this morning and so should be OK for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy tomorrow night if selected.
'I think the JP Trophy is important to the little clubs like Rotherham. It`s a chance of getting to Wembley and who wouldn`t want to do that? It`ll be fantastic to play there. And, of course, the further we get the more money is in it for the club and it`s a massive opportunity for the lower league clubs.`
He was asked about the journey down to Brentford on Friday and how he will pass his time, 'There`s really a few groups of us doing different things, some watch DVD`s but a small group of us like to play cards.`
Let's hope he poke(er)s some more goals in on Friday night!
