Millers Reserves Lose to Leeds

Rotherham United Reserves lost to Leeds United Reserves this afternoon by a last minute goal.

Zeph Thomas gave the Millers the lead in the fourteenth minute when he cooly shot past the home 'keeper, Matty Edwards, after being given space, only for Ollie Hotchkiss to equalise fifteen minutes later when his strike hit the post and crossed the line. Just before half-time the Millers re-took the lead when a Tom Cahill shot was blocked but fell to Sam Duncum who converted from close range.

Gavin Rothery nearly had the ball in the net after the re-start but saw his shot go inches over the bar but he did score on the fifty-fifth minute with a curled shot that was just out of reach of Millers keeper Mark Oxley. Simon Harrison's free kick a few minutes later was tipped over the bar by Edwards and it looked like a draw would be a fair result. But a minute from time Lees got a free kick which Hotchkiss took and Tom Lees planted his header firmly in the net.

Good news for the Millers is that Mark Hudson played for sixty eight minutes of the game.
