RUFC - Styles Here to Stay

Rotherham United haven't had the best of luck in keeping hold of their commercial managers in the last couple of years. Since Dave Nicholls retired, after doing the job for many years, Damon Shaw, Bob Gorrill and most recently Dan Millard have tried to take the job in hand without much success, but this week, forty-one year old Tony Styles was appointed and has told The Advertiser that he's here 'for the long run.'

Tony is a local lad, coming from Whiston, and has been a Millers supporter for thirty years. He runs his own private DJ business and has had twenty years retail experience in the automotive trade. He said this week, 'I am one hundred per cent commited to making this work and driving the Millers forward.

'I want to get back to the days when the commercial manager of Rotherham United was known by a lot of people in the town.

'I've got sales skills but I've also got analytical skills to reassess and re-evaluate how we are working on a week-to-week basis. I aim to improve the links between local businessess we already deal with and expand our client base. I'll be getting out and about and really selling the club. One of the aims is to get to grips with increasing the use of the Rotherham United Suite. It's going to all take time

'This is not the easiest job, with any stretch of the imagination but I am going into this with my eyes open.'
