'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins on Yates

Rotherham United's Jamie Yates scored his first and his second goals for the Millers today in their three-one win over Morecambe. And, his manager, Mark Robins told MillersWorld that he thoroughly deserved his first senior goals.

'Jamie is very precocious,'Robins said. 'But if he thinks he's as good as he thinks he is or gets to be as good as he thinks he is he'll be great!

'We just have to keep his feet on the ground and keep him doing the right things, the same as everyone else. And, if we do that, then things bode well for the future.'

Jamie is nineteen and has come through the ranks at Millmoor, captaining the Youth team. He made his league debut in March this year against Brentford and played the next game away at Crewe but, apart from the recent loss in the JP Trophy, he has had to settle for being on the bench in recent weeks.

He still reminds me of a young Mark Robins!
