'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Chris O'Grady latest

Rotherham United forward, Chris O'Grady was involved in a nasty clash of heads during the first half of today's game at home to Morecambe.

Both O'Grady and Morecambe 'keeper, Joe Lewis went up for the same ball and clashed together. They both received treatment on the pitch for several minutes which resulted in Lewis being stretchered off and O'Grady being escorted off with a white bandage covering his head. It is understood that both players had deep gashes to their heads and Lewis may have a fractured shoulder.

Manager, Mark Robins told Millersworld 'It was a real bad cut and is right down to his skull. It is a bad one for him and we hope he is going to be OK. It's not a nice injury and we shall have to wait and see how it settles.'

It is understood that O'Grady went to hospital and had stitches but is now back home.

Rotherham Vital wish Chris well and also Joe Lewis.
