RUFC - First Game

mvmiller attended his first Football match when the game in this country was at an all time high, just 35 days after England's greatest moment, the 4-2 World Cup Final win over West Germany.
By coincidence the scorelines were identical.

Here's his recollection of the day.
I can remember it was sunny and my dad insisted that I took my cowboy style flask full with water so I could have a drink I thought you could not get a drink there only realised later it was because my dad was a bit tight
the other thing that sticks in my mind was that we let in a late goal and the people who were stood in front of us had gone early so I thought they wouldn't ever know the correct score I still cannot understand anyone leaving early to this day.
