'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins Post Grimsby

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins has told Radio Sheffield that he thought the team had played some good stuff today after the two-one home win against Grimsby Town.

Although he did say that he was a bit frustrated with the side as it took until the sending off of Nick Fenton for them to impose themselves on the game.

'After the sending off,' Robins said, 'I told Tonguey (Dale Tongue) and Paddy (Stephen Brogan) to get on the ball more and we then had some decent passes. It was a great ball from Ian Sharps for Chris O'Grady for the goal. O'Grady's all round contribution was good - he has all the attributes to make a good footballer.

'We know that decent balls into the box cause problems,' he said after being asked about Grimsby's goal from a corner, 'and we can do better, although I'm not really dwelling on it. We've spoken to Graham Coughlan about it and we will sit down and watch the video. I thought the defence won nearly everything in the air all day and took care of Gary Jones, who can be a big problem.'

i thought we struggled when they had the ball as they always seemed to have space and we didn`t close them down quickly enough.
