MR PAUL MELIN FROM SURREY

Paul, who was born just in time to see England win the World Cup, began refereeing in 1990 and was appointed to the Football League eight years later as an assistant referee. He was promoted to the Premier League list in 2003 and he was assistant referee in that season's LDV Vans Trophy. He made the Football League referee`s list a year later.

The last two games Mr Melin has been in the middle for a Rotherham game was at either end of the 2005/06 season - in the first game of the season the Millers were at Yeovil and it was a 0-0 draw and he booked 2 players from each side (McLaren and Worrell for Rotherham and Gall and Nathan Jones for Yeovil) and in May of that year he was in the middle for our 2-0 win away at Swansea where he booked Robertson of Rotherham and the Swans Robinson.

So far this season Mr Melin has officiated in eleven games, giving out twenty yellow and eight red cards - three of those being in the first game of the season between Cheltenham and Gillingham.
