'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins on New Sigining

Rotherham United last night signed Sheffield United midfielder, Ian Ross on loan, although there is a view to sign him on a permanent deal in the January transfer window.

Manager, Mark Robins, told Millersworld after the Millers two-one win at home last night, 'I made enquiries yesterday (Monday)and he comes in at a good time for us with the run up to Christmas, it will give us that extra body.

'And he's had experience at this level because he was with Notts County last season.

'He's come here looking for games but that's one thing I can't promise him after the performance of the first team last night.

'But, if he shows his worth then there might be a contract for him in January, we'll have to see.'

Our stats man, Zipadeedoodah has done Ian's Stats for us:

I echo the manager, after last night, barring injuries, when is he going to get a chance in the first team?

Ross has always been highly thought of at Bramall Lane and was touted as the 'next big thing' at one time. For whatever reason he's never progressed into the first team though. Good technically and good at set pieces.

Thanks coops, always good to get an opinion from the club he's come from
