RUFC - Reserves Beaten

Rotherham United Reserves took on Leicester City Reserves last night in the Pontin's Cup, at the Marston's Stadium by two goals to one.

The Millers defence kept the Foxes at bay and 'keeper Jamie Annerson was hardly troubled until the twenty third minute when Adda Djeziri header found Billy McKay who put the ball into the net. The Millers could have equalised within minutes when Nick van Eijsden had a low shot that went just wide of the goal.

The Foxes doubled their lead in the fifty-eighth minute when Sergio Hellings just managed to force the ball over the line. Jamie Yates got the Millers back in the game fifteen minutes later but Leicester managed to hold on for the win.

Teams:
Leicester
Neilsen (Pentney, 55), Kaebi, Cox, Hellings, Garner, Rowe, Turner, Ferriera (Howard, 81), Hayes, McKay, Odhiambo, Djeziri (A. Chambers, 68)
Unused subs - Cobb Burns
