Rotherham Vital's last poll was:

Do you buy a match day programme?

An amazing (to me)43% of the voters said, yes they always buy one.

This got me wondering just how much revenue is made from the Matchday programme. I got one at the game against Grimsby and for £2.50 I have to say it wasn't a bad read. There was a piece from the Chairman and the manager and one of the directors, pages about the visiting team, a stat page, a section from the London Millers, Match reports, Captain's article, Supporters club, action photos, away travel, a piece about an ex miller, a profile of a youth team member, a piece about a far away supporter plus the League tables etc.

I have to admit that I don't buy one every game - I used to but the cupboards are bulging and the prospect of moving home to house my programme collection was just a bit OTT! I usually buy one at the start of the season or if it's a special edition.

Here is the results:

Yes - always (43%)
No - never (21%)
Sometimes (21%)
If it's a special one (12%)
At the start of the season only (3%)

I'm one of the non-buyers Caz, cos I'd lose it every game anyway.

I'd love to have time to sit down and sort out all my programmes into some sort of files - I did it for two season's worth, with the match reports with them too, but ran out of time. I do go back to around 67/68 with them!
