Rotherham United defender, Graham Coughlan thinks that the games against Peterborough and Bury are the best performances of the season so far.
Speaking earlier to MillersWorld the skipper said, 'I think particulary the first half against Bury we were at our best although it was a bit scrappy in the second half we did enough to come out on top and to get all three points.'
He then went on to talk about the game on Sunday at The New Lawn, 'I thought we showed great character to come back and fight like we did in the second half. The young lads in the team didn't really know what they were getting into.
'It was Forest Green's Cup Final and they wanted to come out and prove a point - prove they should be in the league - and they had their families and friends there watching. They were always going to come out at us and we didn't match them in the first half. But, after a few choice words from the gaffer at half-time we went out and got to grips with it and I think we equipped ourselves well in the second half.
'We could get down in the dumps and be critical about the first forty-five minutes but that's Cup football. It's a different scenario from the league and there's lots that was against us like the crowd, the ref, the surroundings and in the end it was another unbeaten game.
'You know, we're having a good run of form at the moment and we have to look at the bigger picture here and someone has to take their hats off and start throwing bouquets at people. To bring so many young lads through the Youth Team and Centre of Excellence is brilliant. Long may it continue.'
