'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Ref Watch v Forest Green

Mr Scott W Mathieson of Cheshire

Mr Mathieson progressed through the Northern League and was promoted to The Football League assistant referee list in 1990. He was promoted to the national list of referees four years later and in 2001/02 he was the fourth official in the Worthington Cup Final and the FA Vase Final.

So far this season, Mr Mathieson has been in the middle for eleven games and has issued twenty yellow and one red card.

Last season Mr Mathieson refereed the Millers twice at home, once in the League, against Cheltenham and once in the League Cup against Norwich, where he had a busy night and booked seven players. Both games ended with a 4-2 loss for the Millers. (And I really don't want to mention the game he was in the middle for the season before! - say it quietly, it was the 4-0 drubbing we got at home to the Spireites.)

Here's hoping you have a good night tonight Mr Mathieson, we are due a good win with you in charge.
