'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Brogan 'gutted'

Rotherham United defender, Stephen Brogan, says the team were gutted after the cup debacle on Tuesday night but does wonder if it could be a good thing?

Speaking to The Advertiser the nineteen year old said, 'For twenty-four hours after the game we were all hurting. I felt sorry for the fans and, perhaps I shouldn't say this, but I felt sorry for myself too. But, the defeat could be a way to spur us on for Saturday and kick us on for another seven unbeaten games.

'It did bring us back to earth a bit after we had been doing so well in the league and having everyone spurring us on.

'Forest Green out-played us, they did very well. I don't think we were ready and that's not good enough. We're a professional team and to bring them back here after a draw, it should have been a banker.

'But we know now that if we don't work hard enough and put in a shift then we will and can get beaten.'
