RUFC - need to move sooner not later

Rotherham United Chairman, Denis Coleman said today that the club need to move sooner rather than later.

Speaking on RotherFM he said that, as the club don't own Millmoor, only pay rent and see to any repairs, there is a chance they could be thrown out when the lease runs out in 2014.

'The costs just keep growing,' Mr Coleman said, 'and because we don't own the ground we can't get investors interested.

'Millmoor is dilapidated and the costs are crippling us. I don't want to get people's hopes up but it will be better if we go now - if we leave it a couple of years we could get thrown out before we find somewhere.'

but if we move to a new ground will the investors come and start showing an interest in rotherham united and a new purpose built stadium would be nice

It won't be a stadium built just for Rotherham United I am almost sure of that - it will be for the rugby, athletes too. I could be wrong and hope I am as I would love us to have our own place but can't see it
