RUFC - Rotherham Vital Competition

Rotherham Vital have been running a competition to win free seats in the Main Stand at Millmoor for the Rotherham v Rochdale game on Saturday, 8 December.

The draw will be today and I will let the lucky winners know as soon as possible.

The Questions and Answers:

1 Who scored the first ever live hat trick on Sky TV? (Oh and apparently it was a perfect hat trick too!)

Answer - MARK ROBINS - when he played for Norwich City

(All those who put Ian Rush - this was a ROTHERHAM quiz!!! and last time I looked Rush never played for the Millers! lol. I believe Ian Rush scored the first ever live hat-trick on TV but that was before Sky)

2 Who opened the scoring when the Millers thrashed Chelsea 6-0 (yes six - nil)?

Answer - JOHN BRECKIN - quite a few people put Ronnie Moore for this and he did get 2 goals that day with Rod Fern getting a hat-trick

3 In the 1992/93 Millers Official Handbook who was described like this: 5' 8' Midfielder. Started his career with Man U. Is a Northern Ireland U 23 International. Joined the Millers in 1991/92 Season. Has good vision and uses the ball well.

Answer - MARK TODD - who is still at Millmoor in his role as Football in the Community Manager
