'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins Post Shrewsbury

Rotherham United took their league wins to six in a row today when they beat Shrewsbury two-nil at Millmoor and Mark Robins, not suprisingly, was upbeat after the game.

'I thought it was a gritty, determined performance again today and I thought we were fantastic,' he told The Official Site

'They are a big side and tried to unsettle us but after the first ten minutes or so we settled down and controlled the game. And, we could have won it by more goals, we hit the woodwork three times. We could have been lulled into the trap of launching the ball forward but we didn't we passed it about.

'The lads who came in today did a good job and all the lads have belief. We looked big, strong and resolute. We just have to maintain that standard and take it into our next match which is Chesterfield, which has now become the biggest game of the season so far.

'We've got a lot of games in a short space of time so we will welcome the little break before we go to Saltergate. It will be a mixture of rest, recovery and hard work.

'I was thoroughly satisfied with todays result and it gives us three points and takes us up to third. It's now a case of can we stop there for the next twenty-nine cup finals we are going to find ourselves in? If we can maintain the form we are showing at the moment then we won't be far away.'
