RUFC - Robins 'not in it for awards'

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, has said, should he get the Manager of the Month award today, he will dedicate it to the players, directors and us, the fans.

Speaking to The Star he said, 'I'm happy to get nominated because it means the team are playing well and the people who come to watch are doing their part too. Personally, I'm not in this business for awards, but, if I do get it, then it's not just for me, it's for everyone involved in this football club and that includes the fans.

'I think the fans are starting to identify with the team now and on Saturday, against Shrewsbury, the atmosphere was fantastic.

'The players are playing with confidence and the ability I know they have - they've turned the draws we were getting at the start of the season into wins. I can't ask much more than that at the moment.'

Mark Robins will learn today if he has won the award. It will be announced on Sky Sports 1 at 12.20pm.

Good Luck Mark!

Rotherham United's fighting spirit did them well this afternoon after they came from one down in the first half to win the South Yorkshire derby with Doncaster Rovers two-one - but boy, did they leave it late!
