RUFC - Ref Watch v Rochdale

MR IAIN G WILLIAMSON FROM BERKSHIRE

Iain reached the list of Football League assistant linesman in 1999 and was promoted to the National list of Referees for the start of the 2002-2003 season.

He has taken charge of 4 previous Millers games including the controversial 2-2 draw with West Ham over Christmas 2004.
With Rotherham 2-0 up and only 19 minutes left on the clock, he awarded 2 dubious penalty's to the Hammers in the space of 4 minutes.
Both were converted, firstly by Teddy Sheringham and then by Marlon Harewood to give West Ham a point and the game ended with 7 players being shown the yellow card....6 of which came in the second half.
The full list of his Millers games is as follows.....

20th March 2004 Gillingham 2 Rotherham 0..... 6 yellows
28th December 2004 Rotherham 2 West Ham 2..... 7 yellows
21st October 2006 Bournemouth 1 Rotherham 3.....5 yellows
21st April 2007 Yeovil 1 Rotherham 0..... 2 yellows

So far this season Iain has taken charge of just 4 games with 14 yellows being shown and 0 reds
League 2 Sat 03 Nov 2007 Mansfield 5-0 Macclesfield 4 yellows
The Championship Sat 24 Nov 2007 Southampton 1-0 Blackpool 0 cards
League 1 Tue 27 Nov 2007 Swansea 1-0 Hartlepool 6 yellows
FA Cup Sat 01 Dec 2007 Torquay 0-2 Brighton 4 yellows.
