RUFC - Robins 'We were magnificent'

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, couldn't have been more happy last night after watching his team out battle rivals Chesterfield, the swirling wind and come away with three points.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield he said, 'This was the best performance of the season so far.'

'We had prepared well and right from the start we were on song,' he told the Official Site. 'It was a boost to take the early lead and when we got the second there was only one team going to win.

'We will be in this morning preparing for the weekend's game and one or two of the players had knocks.

'Ryan Taylor came off with a hamstring but Peter Holmes was a perfect replacement for him. Peter hasn't been too happy about being left out and we had a chat about it on Tuesday. Derek Holmes came off towards the end of the game with a knock.

'After such a performance perhaps you shouldn't pick out individuals, but Pablo Mills was magnificent.

'Everyone of our players were on top form. We keep on getting better and better. It was brilliant and everyone did their job well. But we have to keep our feet on the ground.'
