RUFC - Robins 'Have to bounce back'

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins admitted that his team were beaten by a better side yesterday but said that 'we have to bounce back next week.' Rochdale broke the Millers winning run of seven league games when they won four-two at Millmoor.

Speaking to the Official Site he said, 'After finding ourselves two nil down in nine minutes we were on the back foot.

'But credit where credits due, we got back into it, got two goals and could have finished it off before half-time.

'Rochdale came and played a brave game and had two wide men who stayed wide which made it an open game. And, you could see we were always likely to concede goals.

'We were a bit lacklustre and it was like after the Lord Mayor's show after Wednesday night. But, Rochdale had had a tough game at Accrington as well.

'Their third goal was from a really good set piece with their lad just getting in front of Sharpsy. I changed things a little and always thought we could have got back into it but it just didn't pay off today.

'It was a big learning experience for one or two of the players today. Stephen Brogan came up against a tough opponent and he came out second best. I prefer not to concede goals and that was four at home and the manner of the defeat was disappointing

'We missed out on the chance of going second today but there's a long way to go. It's a bit of a blip and we have to bounce back next week at Bradford.'
