RUFC - Sharps on 'the' goal!

Rotherham United defender, Ian Sharps admitted to MillersWorld that his goal on Saturday was probably going in anyway!

'I think it was going in to be honest and I just robbed it off Pablo (Mills) - he isn't too happy about it!

'Rochdale seem to come with the philosophy that they were going to score more goals than us and they played with four up front which caused us problems. In the first half we had chances and we should have scored.'

Speaking about the recent win over Chesterfield he said, 'it's always important to a defender to keep a clean sheet.'

Ian has recently passed the fifty appearance mark for the Millers but said that with all the new faces being brought in during the summer he had feared for his place in the team. 'You always fear for the future,' he said, 'but I thought I'd played quite well at the end of last season and haven't done too bad at the start of this.'
