Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins was disappointed that the game on Saturday at Bradford was postponed but said if an area on the pitch was frozen and dangerous to players then there would have been no alternative.
Speaking to RotherFM he said, 'it's just another game to try and fit into our busy schedule in January and February. When we found out the game was off we had to use it as a benefit and we had an extra training session.'
He said the team are looking forward to getting back on the pitch and had been training well and focussing on tomorrow's game with Wrexham.
'We hope to get back to winning ways,' he said, 'they will be difficult to break down and we have got to be on our game.
'They have a new manager in Brian Little and he is an experienced manager and has the hunger and desire to do the job. He came in and looked at their situation and has tried to steady the ship. He has set his team out so they are difficult to beat away from home. But we have the challenge of breaking them down and we need to keep a clean sheet on Saturday after conceeding four in our last home game.
'We love Christmas because of all the games and all the challenges they throw up and this year there is the benefit that they are spaced out a little. We will be training on Christmas Day for the Boxing Day trip to Darlington. We have to try and take maximum points over the festive period and go into the new year in a healthy position to challenge for promotion - we have to try and stay in the top seven . We've done a lot of good work the first half of the season and we have to try and carry that into the second half and achieve what we have set out to do - and that's bounce straight back.'
