RUFC - Robins post- Wrexham

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins seemed pleased with his team today after they took all three points at home.

Speaking to MillersWorld he said, 'I didn't think we started the best but we grew into the game.

'The sending off could have gone either way - sometimes it makes it more difficult but I thought we coped well with it. We could have gone on and got more goals.

'Wrexham defended very well and they threatened a couple of times from our naivety really. But, our back two were magnificent and they kept us solid. It was important to get a goal before half time, with all due respect, they are at the bottom of the league and we have to be taking these points at home. And, we did it in a professional way.

'And it's always crucial to bounce back after a defeat and we did it in a decent style.'

The manager had special praise for two of the substitutes today, 'When he came on Mark Newsham's movement was outstanding and a plus point was his goal. Jamie Yates contribution was excellent as well.

'We are looking forward to Darlington on Boxing Day now.'
