RUFC - Stadium Plans in 2009

Rotherham United's Official Site said yesterday that Millers Chairman, Denis Coleman and Chief Executive of Rotherham Borough Council, Mike Cuff, had been in discussion over a community stadium and where it could be sited for some time.

Mr Cuff said, 'We are pleased to be working with the football club and we fully appreciate the important roll of a community stadium and what it could provide for people of all ages in Rotherham.'

Today, RotherFM report that it will be 2009 before any plans for a multi-purpose stadium will be released.

That's another year - can we, the football club, wait another year for plans?

This is a problem Millerlez - I was asked by someone in the club last week why we hadn't done an article about the proposed site and I told them the same thing - heard it too many times to take notice. But, this time it seems it could be the real thing...
