RUFC - On Look out for a Goalie

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, is trawling the leagues for a new goalkeeper, according to RotherFM today.

With Steven Cann expected to be out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury and Jamie Annerson returning to Sheffield United after his loan spell ended, the Millers have only Andy Warrington in the current squad who has had any first team action and only young Mark Oxley as back-up.

Robins said, 'Mark Oxley is a young 'keeper and it's very easy to get carried away thinking he is older than he is with the size of him.

'He's come from Youth training to First Team training and it's very different and to put him through the rigours of first team training all the time would be too much for him.

'We need to be careful with him as he is an asset to the club and is one to watch for the future.'

So, should we be looking for an experienced 'keeper? A reserve 'keeper from a higher league club who wouldn't mind sitting it out on the bench? I'd personally like to see Jamie Annerson back for the rest of the season if at all possible.
