RUFC - Breckin on O'Donnell

Rotherham United Assistant Manager, John Breckin, spoke today about the loanee to come to Millmoor, goalkeeper, Richard O'Donnell.

O'Donnell, nineteen, is on a three month loan from neighbours Sheffield Wednesday and Breckin said that the Championship club had been good to the Millers.

Speaking to RotherFM he more or less reiterated what manager, Mark Robins had said yesterday about the 'keeper being here to cover for Andy Warrington.

'We had Richard here at the start of the season,' Breckin said, 'so we know what he is capable of. We just need someone for back-up because, although Andy Warrington is doing well and we hope he doesn't get an injury, you never know if we might lose him. Reserve 'keeper Canny (Stephen Cann) looks well but is well short of playing.

'Wednesday know we will look after Richard here and that he is better with a chance of a look in on our bench than not playing at all. He is getting excellent every day training from Simon Tracey while he is here too.'
