RUFC - Pitch OK

Rotherham United's game against Wycombe Wanderers should go ahead, a Rotherham FC spokesman told Wycombe's Official Site today.

We have had a lot of rain in South Yorkshire over the last few days and there had been one or two doubts raised as to the state of the pitch at Millmoor.

But the Millers spokesman said, 'It's all OK at the moment and the groundsman has been out this morning putting the nets up. The pitch should be fine.'

As I sit here typing this I can see blue sky out of the window - let's hope it stays and the rain keeps off!

UPDATE - The Millers head groundsman, Bill Corby speaking to the Official Site says, 'I have done a pitch inspection and as we stand now there are no problems with the pitch. It's in perfect condition.'

We've just travelled back from Notts, and needed oars, not wipers, until we were nearly home!!
