'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - 600 Up!

Rotherham United v Wycombe Wanderers has brought a lot of hype to the town this week because it's been billed as United Rotherham Day where prices have been lowered to get more people into the ground.

It seems to have worked because at tea-time yesterday the Millers fans had all but bought out the seats - including extra ones that had been given in the away end.

But for one person on Vital it was always going to be a special day because the game tomorrow will be his 600th consecutive match!

Step forward, ZIPADEEDOODAH, stats master extraordinaire, long time Vital poster and moderator and friend to us all!

Zip hasn't missed a Millers game, home, away or friendly since 16 April 1996 and that was because it was two days after our Wembley win and he says he was 'skint.'

Zip actually lives in 'dingle land' (though we don't hold that against him!) and has been supporting the Millers for twenty years and his favourite player is 'Sir'Alan Lee.

He told the local newspaper, The Advertiser, 'Every matchday I get up with butterflies in my stomach, whether it's a promotion clash or a run of the mill game. I'm proud to get to my six hundred and have my eye on seven hundred consecutive matches now but that will take me another year or two.'

From all at Vital Rotherham:

CONGRATULATIONS ZIP! WELL DONE!
See you tomorrow!
