RUFC - A message to the fans

United Rotherham Day

Rotherham United Chairman, Denis Coleman, has been asking for 'bums on seats' since he took over. Well, tomorrow, it looks like he will get his wish as the game is looking like being a sell out.

He can only be pleased and speaking to The Advertiser he said, 'I must say the response to the United Rotherham game has been fantastic and I've got to thank the supporters for that.

'But, we need you not only to turn up tomorrow to support the team we need you on a regular basis. Too many people have got out of the habit of going to matches and they are thinking our form will dip after Christmas but I don't think that will happen this time with this team. We are slaughtering teams and deserve more support. Our gates are improving, slowly but surely and I'm pleased about that.

'My hope is that the percentage of newcomers tomorrow will enjoy what they see and come back for the rest of the season.

'Our supporters were fantastic at Lincoln last Saturday, the noise they made and the atmosphere made me envious I was sat in the opposite stand and not with them.

'I'm a Miller through and through and I want the absolute best for the club but I also want to see the Titans do well and get back to the Premiership one day. Both clubs deserve better.

'The passion and pride is there among our band of fans and we need more of them to turn up. Let's hope that tomorrow is a start and let's make it a fantastic day.'
