'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Robins 'scrappy affair'

Rotherham United went to the Deva Stadium yesterday and, according to manager, Mark Robins, they ground out a one-nil win with an early Chris O'Grady goal.

Speaking to RotherFM he said, 'It's a very important three points for us and they tested us all the way. It was a tough game and I'm glad we ground out a result but it was a scrappy affair.

'It's an open stadium and the wind was swirling which affected our game a bit and it was difficult to play any decent stuff and it was a bit bitty. We couldn't retain possession and could only put two or three passes together.

'Chris O'Grady hadn't scored in five games and it was great for him to score a goal and he could have had another one.

'Jamie Yates and Stephen Brogan had chances and he could do with a little less ball looking and try to pick someone out in the box although saying that we've got to have movement in there. I keep saying it's important to get movement.'

Speaking to the Official Site he said that he thought Ian Sharps and Marc Joseph did well alongside each other. He also thought Dale Tonge did well after being out of the side for a while and that Yates added a bit of extra pace when he came on for the tiring Derek Holmes.

'I was really pleased with the three points today,' he said.
