RUFC - Trust 'Cut Prices'

Rotherham United slashed the prices for the last home game in an attempt to get more people to the game. It worked. Nearly seven thousand people turned up and this week the club are also doing a special deal which involves season ticket holders and their friends. If you are a season ticket holder, until 5pm today (Friday) you can purchase two tickets for the game against Hereford tomorrow for 15 for Adults, 5 for concessions and 1 for Under 12's.

But, RUST, (the Rotherham United Supporters Trust), say that ticket prices should be reduced because they believe the price is putting people off coming to Millmoor.

Steve Exley, a RUST committee member, told The Advertiser, 'I brought my seventy year old dad to the game against Wycombe. He's just had a hip replacement and he found the seats in the Tivoli very cramped and he couldn't get comfortable.

'We are asking people to pay 20 on the day to sit in a cramped ground watching fourth division football. As a Trust we've spoken to the board about pricing but the more I listen to Denis Coleman (Chairman) on the matter the more I understand his thinking. But, it's still too expensive.'
