RUFC - Robins 'My mistake'

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, has admitted he made a mistake on Tuesday night at Peterborough when he played Marc Joseph, who had earlier been to a family funeral.

'It had been a difficult day for Marc and he wasn't at the races and it was a wrong decision to play him. He didn't start the game well but got a little better as it went on and it's difficult to criticise when he played so well last Saturday. It was a lesson learned for me.

'The team have been outstanding up to now and it is only the second away game we've lost but it was the manner of the defeat that concerns me. I expected more because of the standards we've set ourselves and until Tuesday, the players have come through with flying colours. In the end, at Peterborough, we got what we deserved.

'We need to get back to the standard we have set and we've got a great set of lads here who will get over the defeat at Peterborough.'
