'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Newsham 'not my day'

Rotherham United manager, Mark Robins, brought Marc Newsham back into the starting line-up yesterday and the twenty-year old spoke to RotherFM after the game.

'We are frustrated and disappointed with the game today. We need a bit of luck and it didn't go our way. I got my chance to start but I don't think it was my day today and things weren't coming off for me.

'They didn't get many shots at goal but the one they did went in. We were going forward to try and get a goal back but they counter attacked very well. They came with a game plan and we didn't break them down.

'We still believe we can stay in the top three. We've got seventeen cup finals from now until the end of the season and we have got to push on and try to get this promotion.

'For me I have to work hard and try and keep my place in the team.'
