'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Yates 'need more luck'

Rotherham United striker, Jamie Yates, came off the subs bench on Saturday to try and install a bit of liveliness up front for the Millers. It did seem to work and the Millers definitely pushed up a gear when the nineteen year old came on and he nearly got an equaliser in the last moments of the game when his curling shot hit the bar.

'It was disappointing to lose against Hereford and Peterborough,' he told The Advertiser. 'We created a lot of chances but the ball didn't fall for us.

'Tomorrow is a big game for us against MK Dons and we have to go there and get things right. It's important that we bounce back. It's not good losing to the teams who are up there with us, we need to be winning them.

'We've looked at the phases of play at Peterborough and tried to put things right. Against Hereford we were on top for most of the game but we let ourselves down in the final third and missed too many chances.

'I think luck plays a big part and hopefully it will start to go our way.'

Jamie came through the Youth team with the Millers and has spent a lot of time on the bench this season, coming off it against Morecambe to help the Millers to a three-one victory with two goals.

It would appear manager, Mark Robins is keeping his cards close to his chest over his team selection for tomorrows game. Personally, I would like to see Jamie Yates start.
