'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC Chairman on the fine

Rotherham United have been fined 2,500 for the part they played in a 'mass brawl' at Chesterfield earlier this season.

The Spireites were fined 2,000 but they, unlike the Millers, admitted their part in the incident. The charge is 'failing to control their players' with a warning to future conduct.

The Millers Chairman, Denis Coleman, wasn't too happy with the decision and told RotherFM, 'I have to be careful what I say but, in my opinion, if CCTV of the incident had been taken into any court room then it would have been Chesterfield who got fined and we would have walked away free. It really makes me sick when people can walk over you like this.'
