Spring, when the wind blows warm and the birds fly high,
Blossom on the trees, reaching to the sky,
April showers, dancing flowers,
The cuckoos song all evening long,
Daffodils and tulips bloom,
Away with the snow and winters gloom.

Had a lovely day today. Although it was raining, we still walked to the bus station and caught a bus to Mansfield. It's one of my favourite bus routes.

First stop, after a cuppa at the first café we came across, it was Mansfield town FC. We got tickets to see them play Portsmouth in a couple of weeks. For those of you who don't know, I used to go regularly to Fratton Park, before I even knew Rotherham United existed, lol!! Also my favourite player, Gary Roberts, now plays for Pompey, so hopefully I will see him. Though Caz did mention that he's not a very good traveller, long distances. So fingers crossed.

We called in a few shops, the local bakers that we know are good etc. Then it was the 'posh' Wetherspoons for lunch, or in George's case, Brunch. I just got some bread and butter, and pinched a sausage off him, and some of his chips, lol. Though I did let him have a bit of my bread!!!

The buses only run every two hours, and there was one due in 10mins, so we went straight back to the bus station, and home. Everything went swimmingly. Was chatting to a woman on the bus, the journey flew by.

Only thing was, when I got around to coming on here, no signal. So no PC again for a long time. Finally got on a short while ago, fingers crossed it stays on!

Spring is sprung
The grass is rizz
I wonder where
The birdies is

I was going to town this morning but the rain put me off so I did some odds and ends then I couldn't be bothered to get changed and go! Been to my sister's tonight

Parkgate tomorrow morning and then, depending on my mood, I might nip to town - though I understand there are roadworks on our usual bus route so it's taking a detour so could end up anywhere!

Wednesday is the only day we do the same thing....shopping to Asda in the morning, and the Over 60's in the afternoon. The dinner at the Over 60's today was fab, I nearly ate it all, lol!! Didn't win at bingo, doh!

Gainsborough on a train tomorrow, meeting up with my lad for lunch at Wetherspoons, in the town.

Have a good day in Gainsborough - the castle or tower or whatever is well worth a visit (though maybe a tad cold on top at this time of year!)

Parkgate and holiday tickets sorted. Had a quick wander round then went to take my Mum in Law some things she'd asked for. I popped into town on the bus and bought a couple of things. It was rather cold though.

Got back to no PC again, doh. Deffo summat wrong with the server, updating or summat. Back for now!!

Glad you had a good day!

Not been anywhere today. Got a friend coming for lunch tomorrow from Milton Keynes (or that way on) so it's a quick dash round the supermarket! Then got family here for the weekend.

Spring has not arrived!! We have had horrendous snow storms today. We went to Sheffield on the bus, and by the time we got there, it was snow showers. By the time we reached Yates for breakfast, heavy snow. So after we had eaten, we high-tailed it to the shops where we needed stuff, then back on a bus home, soaking wet through.

Whew, made it. Then after about two hours, it stopped snowing, and there was no sign of it on the ground or owt. I guess our timing was bad. Hope it's okay tomorrow, cos need to be dolled up for the Over 60's Anniversary Tea!

Haven't really had any snow up here last couple of days , but it hasn't half rained!!!
Had a funeral at 11.00am yesterday , and as soon as everybody got to graveside , it absolutely lashed down.

Carried on raining until well into the night - fine at the moment though.

No snow today but a cold wind and it's just started to spit!

Today had been cancelled. George has man flu, and went back to bed. So not going to Over 60's Anniversary Tea.
I did leave him while I went to fetch a paper, but that's all. A half Wendy Day now!!

Oh no, hope he's on the mend! Shame about the tea.

Had a busy weekend. Daughter and partner arrived at 12 yesterday and I threw a pie at them and we went to catch the coach to Hillsborough. A first visit there for both of them.

In the evening we went into town to the Indian on Wellgate - nice meal and lovely people who work there. Came back here and disaster struck when other half managed to spill a pint of Guinness all over the recently cleaned carpet (he knew I wasn't impressed!) So spent an hour trying to mop up. (It's still wet now but I'm guessing the mark isn't going to come out).

Daughter and I cooked brunch for five of us as Mum-in-Law came too - her partner cooked the eggs. They left around 1ish and I've done the articles on here while talking to Mum-in-Law.

Caught up with a friend on the 'phone and emails that needed answering.

Not much chance this week!

Out with a friend for lunch today - not seen her since before Christmas so time to catch up.

Have to go to collect something from town tomorrow and then match at night.

Hairdressers on Wednesday.

Doing usual Friday things on Thursday plus out with cousins in the evening for an hour and Friday it's mum-in-laws birthday so her sister-in-law and niece are coming from Bradford for the day and we're off out somewhere.

Off on holiday in just over a week so will chillax then!

Deffo a busy bee Caz!!

George is still a bit under the weather, but making tracks. So I went to Crystal Peaks today. Bought more than I should have done, had to carry it myself, used to him carrying it!!!!!

He's hoping to get a bit of fresh air tomorrow, but won't be going far. Little by little, step by step.

No done much the last few days. Just walked for a paper yesterday, and dropped a birthday card off for an Over 60's friend. Picked some stuffed up from Co-op.

Just a run to Asda this morning, not long about. Didn't go to Over 60's. Didn't want to spread germs about, plus it was pouring it down with rain.

May get to Chesterfield tomorrow, see what weather is like.

Went to town yesterday to get odds and end and a new top and pair of trousers. Match in the evening where I had my eyes closed for a lot of the first half! But enjoyed the second half especially the last couple of minutes! - SORRY DIGGER!

Hairdressers today and had a catch up. We were going to nip to Parkgate but no fun walking round there in the pouring rain and cold some came home and caught up with things here. So it's Parkgate and Morrison's tomorrow.

Spent Fri to Mon at my daughters in London, enjoying my little granddaughter - she is nine weeks old now. Had a lovely cream tea at a very tiny olde worlde tea shop on mothers day.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game at NYS last night.

Had afternoon tea with friends (6 of us) this afternoon at Deer Park.
