Don't forget your Peter Holmes shirt!!!

I've been with my Mum-in-Law to her hospital appointment which was on time and took exactly as long as they said it would!

Yes - at times I needed my scarf and hood up because of the wind and then at others I was undoing my coat and could have done with my sun hat!

Well, Malc said when he woke up yesterday morning Maltby had a covering of snow.

Let's hope it keeps away from now on!

Had a fab day out it York today. Train there, to go to the Castle Museum to see the 60's Exhibition. It was great. Seeing as we had to pay the full amount for the museum, we looked around it all! Just went out to get a late lunch, then back in again to view it all.
Really enjoyed it!

We shall be going again, to do the outside of York, like a walk on the City Wall. Can't wait!

Been promising ourselves a train trip to York for last couple of years - might manage it this year (though not counting any chickens!)

Had a busy week going hither and thither and back again.

And I must really stop listening to my sister! Went to my Godmothers today with flowers and cards saying 'Happy 90th' on. Got there and nattering in the kitchen while she made coffee, before she opened her cards, and I commented that I thought she'd have had more flowers.

'You think I'm as old as the Queen don't you?' she said.
'Erm, yes,' I replied.
'No, same day but I'm only 87!'

Oh blimey! It's a good job she's got a sense of humour! She said she'd save the cards and put them up every year in case she doesn't get to ninety!!!

Had great day in Gainsborough today. Went to sons pad, then his lad turned up, so those two, plus George and me, went to see Gainsborough Trinity play FC United of Manchester, after lunch at Wetherspoons.
It was awesome, the atmosphere was fantastic. I was like being at Millmoor, 40 years go.

We stood at the home end, shouting and singing for Gainsborough, for the first half. Then, all the fans went to the other end, and the FCUofM came to where we were. So cheered them on in the second half, lol. It was electric!

We couldn't believe it, when reading the list of players, that there were ex-Rotherham players. For G.T. Jamie Yates, Stephen Brogan and Marc Newham. For FCUOM, Dale Tonge...he is still well fit!

A great day, we will deffo do it again next season!

Could've been quite embarrassing Caz !!!
Talking of sister's getting things wrong - a lady approached me on Friday (at work) and asked in which part of the cemetery was the funeral (at 11.30).
I told her that there was no funeral in there that day , and she was adamant that her sister had rang our office and been told that there was.
Seeing as the time was now 11.30 , i thought i'd better ring the office to check.
It was in another one of our cemeteries - poor lady was quite embarrassed - i rang the bloke in charge of the appropriate cemetery and asked him if he could 'hold back' the funeral for a few minutes to allow the lady to get there (about 5 minutes drive).

That was very good of you digger!

Not on top of the world at the moment. Got a chest infection and ache in places I didn't even know I'd got. Spent all yesterday on the settee asleep and got up today about 10.

Supposed to be going to son and daughter-in-laws on Wednesday but with her being eight months pregnant I don't want to pass this on so may have to wait.

Probably wise Caz - the waiting.

When i woke up this morning my hearing seemed 'odd' , and my balance wasn't great.
Twas only when i 'blocked' my right ear that i realised i couldn't hear out of my left one at all - been like that all day (and still is) too.
Put some ear drops in and will carry on for a few days -possibly earwax?, as i've had a problem with that before.
Not nice at all.

No, I have balance problems - in fact, just saying, but what I've got now all started with blocked ears - so be aware

Had two hectic days.

Yesterday, our 58th wedding anniversary, we went to Doncaster instead of Cleethorpes, re the weather forecast. Yes, we did get caught in a hail storm, doh. Went to Cosmo for lunch. Then to The Trades, for what we thought would be just a drink and chat etc.

However, the turn was fantastic. Kevin Curtin, his singing, moves, jokes, fab, motown and soul, everyone was up dancing, including me lol. Stayed the whole afternoon! Great day out. Today has been the usual Weds, shopping this morning, the Over 60s for dinner, and bingo etc. Had a another good day!

Basic Chesterfield tomorrow!!

Hello May, or should that be Februamay????

Not doing much over the bank holiday, we leave those breaks to the workers!! Had a lovely walk this morning, the scenic route to pick up my horse winnings! This afternoon I had a walk to the village Fun Fare, and yes, I won a cuddly toy on the darts!

Tomorrow, may have a walk to Renishaw Hall, get some exercise in, and have a cuppa maybe! Back to Doncaster on Tuesday, but maybe not a train, maintenance work going on. Can go free on the bus lol. Grace is singing at the Urban pub there, so maybe I'll find a dance partner, lol!!!

Well having been told that my daughter-in-law would be set off in labour on 13th of May on Wednesday morning they went for a scan on Thursday to be told she was in slow labour - no panic they said, will be days.

Friday morning I got a text - in hospital and they are just filling up the birthing pool for me!!! I became a grandma to a 6lbs 3.5oz baby girl at 3.15.

We've been to see her today (to Newcastle). She's lovely but aren't all babies! I had lots of Grandma cuddles and I hope they have a better night tonight with her as she had them awake all night last night!

Today I didn't go far, being a Bank Holiday. I leave them to the workers. I say not far, but in actual fact I have done almost 14,000 steps!!!

I had a walk round the village, and then ended up at Renishaw Hall, for a cuppa! My pinky was up!! Really enjoyed it. So whenever George has chores to do....I will probably end up there again, lol.
