Home, after an awfuljourney in the heavy rain. Had a couple of days in Norfolk visiting the Thursford Christmas Spectacular. It was indeed truly spectacular! I would highly recommend it to anyone that likes Christmas, definitely a 'feel good factor' experience.
(Unlike Derby on Saturday!!)

Had a day off yesterday , went for a drive up Durham way - not particularly enjoyable seeing as it lashed it down non-stop.

Back at work today - had to start on topping up 17 'sinkers' - got 7 done , hopefully get the rest sorted tomorrow.

It eventually stopped raining around 3pm.

I went to Meadowhall yesterday but I don't think we had much rain.

Off out to Parkgate to get something for my granddaughter for her great grandma to buy her for Christmas. I've been sent a photo of what to get!

Been one of those days today

Suffering from a bad back so everything I do I'm doing carefully!

Came onto Vital this morning and within three minutes our internet went down, that eventually came back about mid-day and Vital went down!

A leak across the road - must be six weeks since it was reported and they came and put blue lines around it (that was in case you couldn't see the water pouring out) was finally stopped today - well I say stopped. It's still not mended properly so now our road is 'shut' with cones all around - no lights on, so anyone not knowing will probably only find out when they've hit a cone!

I can't get hold of my cousin who might, or might not, be coming on Sunday.

And I've got ulcers on my tongue which are rather painful!

Roll on summer!!!

Oohh dear! Hope you feel better soon! (Bet you're in sympathy with Rod?)

I wasted such a lot of time yesterday looking for a tree decoration with her name on, that I bought for my granddaughter some time ago! I knew I had put it in that elusive safe place! Kept thinking - that's it, I'm not wasting anymore time - then ooh maybe it's in ....??
Got up this morning and went straight to it!!!

Sunny here now - ought to do a bit more tidying in the garden...........mmm!

I think I must be re Rod, Sixpence!

And Sixpence, I have done exactly the same this week. I'd bought an angel with my granddaughter's name on ages ago and as it's a bit delicate I put it somewhere safe - very safe! As we are going next week I'm taking son's birthday presents and all their Christmas gifts (they don't know this yet!) and was pulling things out of cupboards when a box came into my hands - and that's where I'd put the angel!

I think I'm going to start writing down where I put things - the problem is the more things I collect I tend to move others around!

I say it every year - they're all having vouchers next year!

Been to Saltburn today.
Down on the beach , there was a bloke having a go on some sort of 'mini speed boat' - so i got quite a few action shots of him , til the tide caught me unawares and soaked my feet and half way up my legs.

Walked into town tonight to photograph the christmas lights.

Still feels odd going places without my little Susie in tow - especially going places where we've been with her before.

Brrrr I hate having wet trousers flapping round my legs!

Did you manage to get your Christmas light photo's?

Supermarket with friend and a natter this morning then went to order our Christmas Eve pies at the butchers in towns and managed to leave the other half on a bench while I went to another couple of shops!

Been wrapping birthday and Christmas gifts up that we are taking to Newcastle this week

I'm not liking the sound of these -6 evenings!!!

I did thanks Caz (photos).
Pretty much the same photos i took last year , bu i treated myself to a new camera a few months ago , so i wanted to try it out on something different - very pleased with the results.

Got quite a shock when the tide came rushing in on me - i had a dog (on lead) in one hand and had my camera up against my face when my girlfriend shouted 'move' .
Spent the rest of the afternoon with water slushing about in my trainers - as well as having cold n wet legs!!!

Is it still Hebburn your son (or daughter) lives at Caz?
My girlfriends gran lived there (Severn Avenue i think it was).

Back at work tomorrow.
Rode through the cemetery today (bicycle) to check for sunken graves - thankfully there was none.
Gonna be a cold start in the morning - better than the rain though (imo)

I did!!

Had a nice couple of days spoiling my granddaughter up North in Hebburn. We went to see her three week old baby cousin yesterday so had cuddles with him too! Today was glorious so we went for a stroll along the prom at the seaside and into a park for lunch. We took a car full of Christmas presents which prompted them to put their Christmas tree up - though they did that after we'd set-off home!

Out for a friends birthday celebrations last night. Twelve of us went to Dynasty and as usual on their buffet nights I ate far too much! It's all so tempting though!

Met up with twelve people I used to work with last night at The Brecks and had a very good Christmas meal and a good catch up.

I should have been out for a Christmas meal at the Toby Inn last night but (boo, hoo!) I was recovering from a stomach bug. Apparently I missed a very good meal!

Oh dear, Sixpence, hope you're on the mend now.

Heard varying reports about the Toby Inn - a friend has been three times, loved it first time, thought it was OK (though not very warm) second time and said it wasn't nice at all the other week when they went. Not tried it myself yet.

I see the Taco Bell has opened as well down that end of town. Might have to give that a go.

Had a busy week or so. Back up to Newcastle for a couple of days to see poorly granddaughter. She's had a 'viral infection' and a rash which has upset her for over a week though she seems to be on the mend now.

While we were there a friend of the other half's suddenly passed away and when I got back from Hillsborough on Saturday it was to find out my Auntie has passed away too - she'd had a fall a couple of weeks back and had slowly gone down hill. At 92 she was the last one of that generation.

My sisters birthday yesterday so we went to her house in the evening. Daughter is here at the moment for a couple of days and we are out with friends this evening at Enzo's.
