... in your house that was made for one job but does the job of something else?

We've got a newspaper rack that has anything but newspapers in it! At the last count it had various Rotherham United books in, half a novel (torn!), those important bits of paper you have to save but you have no idea what for when you come across them. A rattle, a comb, a decoration that fell into it from the Christmas tree last year, half a roll of sellotape, blue tac that isn't any good for anything but might just come in handy and a few sticky cough sweets. I daren't actually put my hand right to the bottom!

I have an old plastic bin which I turn upside down and use it as a stand to raise Minnie's feeding bowl.

Is that because she can't bend down too far, Sixpence?

By the way if you ever come to our house anyone and make tea don't look in the jar marked 'Tea' for teabags, they're in the jar marked 'Coffee'! of course!

Love it!

She is tall and apparently it can be uncomfortable for greyhounds ( and I guess other long legged dogs) to hold their necks bent too far for any length of time.

That's something I wouldn't have thought of, Sixpence, but can imagine that re the necks.

My tea pot jar broke and so we just started to use the jar the coffee comes in and put the tea bags in the coffee pot jar. Must be years ago now and we never got round to getting another coffee jar - and now we haven't room in the cupboard for one anyone!

We've also got a 'letter rack' that has anything but letters in it! It has all those bits of paper/cards you might need one day but can't find when you do need them stuffed in it!
