As today is officially winter I think we need to change the chat line.

Off to town this morning before it rains (according to the local radio) - need bits and bobs but can't honestly recall what they all so will end up wandering round and getting home before I remember!

Been out and about today delivering pressies, been to see my Mum and been to the 'Crem' to take Christmas flowers and holly - boy was it cold and windy up there!

Now sitting with Christmas songs on tv, a glass of wine and chocolates!

Got a busy one tomorrow so stayed in today and actually did housework! I also dressed our little tree (which I wasn't going to get out but ...) and sent the other half to do his Mum's shopping. He said it was very, very, very busy with people queuing down the aisles - and we've got to go and get our shopping tomorrow.

After all my hard work I've sat and watched a Christmas film on telly - yes it was cheesy but hey, its nearly Christmas!

Well Christmas went fine - fifteen here for pie and peas on Christmas Eve and four of us for Christmas dinner before we went to my nieces in the evening for daft games.

It started to go a bit downhill for me after that - started feeling poorly on Christmas night and felt awful Boxing Day. Went back to bed at 1pm but felt a bit better so ended up going to game (glad I did!) but then walking to meet the other half who was picking me up took me an age and I had to keep stopping on seats all the way there for a rest! Got home, got changed and made it to my sister-in-laws where we were playing more daft games only me and my nephew kept falling to sleep! Got home 9ish and straight to bed where I stopped for 24 hours. Shivers and shakes sweats and sleeping. Daughter and boyfriend left sometime while I was in bed for a few days in Lakes only she got it so don't think she made it out of their room much. Sister-in-law spent three days in bed and is still on water (I managed solid food today for the first time since Christmas Day!) My sister and niece have also had it and the other half is with him Mum at Dr's now as she isn't right either. Great niece is the last one to go down with it - so whatever it is ya don't want it! It's not a tummy bug and it's not flu it's just yuk! Had to cancel seeing my Granddaughter as didn't want her or her mummy and daddy catching it.

Hopefully on the mend now, been to Asda (heaving - why is everyone is bloomin' Asda why aren't they at Parkgate and Meadowhall!) Asda is open 24 hours New Years Eve plus 10-4 New Years Day - there's only so much food you can buy then throw away isn't there!

Sorry to hear you haven't been well Caz.
There's a lot of 'flu' type stuff going about up here.
I was very headachey and sneezy yesterday , but dont seem so bad today.

I felt better then got worse and then even worser - today's an OK day so hoping I'm over the worst of it and can get to the match at Leeds tomorrow. It's knocked us all flat.

I set off feeling OK then the energy just drains out of me - hey ho!

Managed to strip the bed today and half made it but then felt rough again. I just feel I've got to take myself in hand!

On the plus side the recordings on the TV have gone down to a bare minimum! Because that's all we've been doing!

Seems a lot of 'flu' and stuff about that's being really difficult to 'shake off' lately.
Weather being so different from one day to the next doesn't help.

Back at work yesterday (after 3 days off) , digging a 'reopen' .
Terrible dig - had to put three sets of shoring in it at only 3 feet deep - and because the shoring on hand digs goes in at each 'spit level' , you lose size on the dig with each set.

Woke up feeling really stiff this morning - if you pardon the expression!!!
Got a few 'sinkers' to top up first thing , so that'll get me moving again - hopefully.

We've actually got two funeral's next week (Monday and Tuesday). Wednesday we have the gas/electric man coming to put new meter's in the house which means one cupboard that we push everything in has to have everything taken out, not looking forward to doing that!

Daughter and boyfriend here tonight as it's her birthday. We are having a take-away. Tomorrow they are going out with friends all day.

Back from a few days in London for my granddaughter's first birthday! Recovering now from all that bending, crawling and lack of sleep!
I'm sure she thinks sleeping is a waste of playing time!

Out this evening to a friends birthday celebration at Dynasty and having a new radiator fitted first thing tomorrow!

Hope the funerals both went off ok Caz.
My partner and myself are both off work tomorrow and Friday - probably have a couple of trips out (weather permitting).

Hope the snow keeps away for you digger.

Yes they both went well - we were stood outside at the first one at the crem as it was full. My Auntie's wasn't so full but she got a nice send off - no religion involved which is how she'd have wanted it.

No sign of any snow here....................yet!
You had any in Rotherham?

We didn't do a lot today - waited in for a delivery and took the dogs for a (local) walk.
Went to Redcar this evening - bit chilly on the beach .

I have to drive over the Pennines tomorrow to Rochdale - so fingers crossed it doesn't come over night!
