I hope I didn’t somehow transmit the bug I had up to Yorkshire?

I think I will blame you Oz!

Think I'm on the mend now - nose is like sandpaper and I can't talk (other half thinks he's in heaven!) and have the odd coughing fit but am better than I was!

Everyone you speak to has had it - you'd think with it being the coldest winter for many years all the germs would have died off

The day I leap out of bed in a morning is long gone I'm afraid, Ozi.

My problem is what starts out as a nasty cold, ends up affcting my ears and sinus

....and I dont like whisky!

Done the lawns today with Barney helping of course.
Wherever I go he is beside me.
Always wants a treat when ‘we’ are finished whatever ‘we’ have been doing. No flies on this dog. Well, not too many.

We had our 'winter treatment' earlier in the week on our lawn - well, lawn is a bit too posh as it's just grass! Our neighbours had artificial grass in during the summer - looks nice, no mowing but I've been told that it doesn't always stay like that

What breed of dog have you got ozi?

I have a greyhound, Minnie, a retired racer.

When I am out walking I pass gardens with artificial grass. Noticed yesterday that one in particular has weeds growing in it.

Barney is a Bull Mastiff Sixpence, big dog but he is like his master, he has a placid nature unless he or I feel threatened.
At the moment here, a group have started a save the greyhounds club which is doing a great job by the looks of it as I see more and more of them out walking.
A few people have these patches of artificial grass. Not too keen on them myself as they in no way look normal.

Had a busy few days, Oz! And a busy couple of days coming up!

Went out with my sister and brother-in-law last night - our 'Christmas' meal! Couldn't fit it in before! And we'd got 50% vouchers off at our local steak house!

Dont always have anything interesting to post, ozi.

Had lunch yesterday with some friends and this evening been out for a meal with a different group of friends - people I used to work with. Unfortunately the heating in the pub was not working so it was not as pleasant an evening as it might have been!

Spent yesterday and until 3pm today in Newcastle with our granddaughter - played at shopping for Grandma's tissues most of yesterday and washing up and cooking in her toy kitchen and took her to the park this morning to the swings - where we froze! A very biting wind. She played mostly with a stone which she put on the swings, slide, bouncy dinosaur and twirly thing.

Called at chip shop on way home for tea.

Been to visit my Mum today. Last week she had a chest infection, this week full of beans! Not bad for 94 years old!

Out to the pictures this evening (sorry, cinema!) to watch The Greatest Showman. Really enjoyed it, a film where you come out smiling - can't beat that feelgood feeling!

Last evening the eclipse begun around 7’45 pm and lasted for a few hours.
Lovely to see the actual blue moon ( Man City ) and so close up.
Last one 1982 and I won’t be around for the next one.
Will see us win the EPL again as well, so a good year.

Glad you enjoyed the film, Sixpence. We've been going for the last couple of weeks but either one, the other or both of us have been coughing, sneezing, sniffling, so not good for the pictures is it (and I still call it the pictures!)

Wow, Oz! Did you take photo's !!!

Yes Caz took a couple for the Grandkids.
Something to see for sure.
Nice of you both to keep visiting your families, it’s a good thing to do.
