Millers v Silkmen Preview

Rotherham United travel to Macclesfield tomorrow hoping to bounce back from their cup defeat against Championship side West Brom on Wednesday night. The Millers are in fifth spot in the league having won three out of four games so far this season.
The Silkmen are currently in sixteenth place having won one game and drawn two - the last one being at Morecambe last weekend.

Vital Quotes:

Keith Alexander - Rotherham will be there or there abouts in May and the game tomorrow will complete a tough month for us. Rotherham have a bigger squad than us but I think we can go out there and compete with the likes of Rotherham
Mark Robins - Macclesfield are a decent side and they'll be up for this one

Macclesfield Team News:

Macclesfield have just signed Ricky Sappleton on loan until the end of the year from Leicester and he is expected to be in the squad. Long term injury victims, Shaun Hessey and Nat Brown aren`t fit enough to be considered.

Player to watch: MATTHEW TIPTON

In his third spell with the Silkmen and is top scorer so far this season with two goals

Rotherham Team News:

The Millers have doubts about a few players - Ian Sharps who has been out for a couple of games with a back problem, Paul Warne and Adam Le Fondre didn't make the game at West Brom while Nick Fenton, Pablo Mills and Andy Liddell all got knocks in the mid-week game. Drewe Broughton is definitely out with a broken toe

Player to watch: TOM POPE

Found his shooting boots on Wednesday night and I don`t think he will want to put them away just yet

Ref Watch:

CD Sarginson from Staffordshire

Next Fixtures:

The Millers start their Johnstone's Paint Trophy campaign on Tuesday, 1st September at Don Valley when Huddersfield Town are the visitors
