Rotherham vs. Huddersfield

Don Valley Stadium

Millers v Terriers Preview

Rotherham United turn their eyes to the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy tonight when Huddersfield Town come to Don Valley in the first round of the competition. The Millers fell at the final hurdle before Wembley last season when Scunthorpe beat them over two legs to get to the final and with a potential £500,000 earnings they will want to go that step further this season.
The Millers and the Terriers haven't met for two years, the last time was in League One when Huddersfield won both games.
Lee Clark says that he won't take the Millers lightly and will be fielding a strong team while the Millers have a couple of injuries to contend with.

Vital Quotes:

Mark Robins - we are entering this competition to go as far as we can in it.
Lee Clark - Over the past couple of seasons they (Rotherham)have taken some big scalps down there so we know it's going to be difficult. I'll be treating this game very, very seriously and not be making too many changes to the team.

Rotherham Team News:

Rotherham United will be without Tom Pope who is having a scan today on, what could be, a chipped bone in his ankle. Nick Fenton is also a doubt.

Player to watch: Nicky Law

what a whizz down the wing!

Huddersfield Team News:

Gary Roberts is out suspended and Danny Drinkwater, who missed Saturday's game, is a doubt. And, although, Clark says he won't make many changes it could be that he is thinking of giving chances to Matt Glennon in goal; defenders Nathan Clarke and Robbie Williams and strikers Lee Novak and Robbie Simpson

Player to watch: Jordan Rhodes

joined the Terriers this summer and is top scorer this season

Ref Watch:

SJ Bratt from the West Midlands

Next Fixtures:

The Millers entertain Chesterfield on Saturday, 5th September at Don Valley. Please note - this game is a 2.00pm kick off
